Gordon Allen Hansen, aged 67, from Wilmington, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 7, 2025. Gordon, born on December 28, 1957, in Morris, Illinois, was the son of Gaylord Hansen and Gladys McLaughlin. He was raised in Gardner and graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School in 1975.

Throughout his career, Gordon worked at WESCOM in Gardner and Alumax Mill Products in Morris. He had a passion for working on cars and utilized his skills in various service sectors. An amiable individual, Gordon enjoyed attending local and state fairs in the summer, embracing the company of friends and sharing many laughs. His kindness and willingness to assist others will be treasured in the memories of those who knew him.

Gordon is survived by his daughter Megan Hansen, sister Gayle Smith, niece Stacey Harrison, nephew Christian Smith, great-nephew Declan Smith, several cousins, and many dear friends including Bobby Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord Hansen and Gladys McLaughlin, brother Gary L. Hansen, and nephew Erick Hansen.
