The City of Joliet, in collaboration with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), is hosting a community meeting for the I-80 Des Plaines River Bridge Community Plan. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22nd, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at All Nation Church of God, located at 507 Water St, Joliet, IL.
This initiative aims to engage residents in discussions about IDOT's I-80 reconstruction project which includes replacing and relocating the Des Plaines River Bridge. IDOT has allocated $3.5 million for community improvements in neighborhoods affected by this project. The Community Plan will guide how these funds are utilized to benefit local residents.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting at their convenience and share their thoughts on how best to utilize the funding. Pizza will be provided and Spanish interpretation services will be available.
