1. CALL TO ORDER

4. PRESENTATIONS
Mayor Noak invited the new interns who are joining the Fire Department, Police Department, Recreation Department, and Public Works Department to the podium along with their department heads. Village Manager, Dawn Caldwell, explained that the Village is happy to be a part of the Will County CED Internship program this year. The four department heads introduced their intern. Three out of the four interns are Romeoville residents. Mayor Noak welcomed them and gave them a round of applause.
RES25-4039 A Resolution with Respect to the Proposed Amendment of the Normantown/Weber Road Tax Increment Finance District, Establishing the Dates for a Public Hearing and Joint Review Board and Other Matters in the Village of Romeoville ("Normantown/Weber Road TIF")
Josh Potter, Community Development Director, explained that the Normantown/ Weber Road TIF was approved in 2018 and is set to expire in 2041. Since the time of approval, conditions in the area have changed. To help redevelop sites in the area, staff is looking to add three additional properties to the TIF. Staff has been working with the Village TIF consultant to draft the amended TIF Plan and TIF Eligibility Report. This resolution authorizes the time and place for the Joint Review Board (July 8) and for the public hearing (August 20).
Mayor Noak commented that this is an already established TIF and this just adds a few additional properties.
RES25-4043 A Resolution approving an Agreement with Black Eleven Touring Inc. and the Attached Rider
Kelly Rajzer, Parks and Recreation Director, shared that they are always looking at ways to enhance events. This year, RomeoFest will be adding a headliner, Uncle Kracker, to perform on Thursday, August 7th. The show will be 90 minutes long beginning at 8:30 PM.
Mayor Noak commented that this is a nice addition to the event.
RES25-4045 A Resolution Approving a License Agreement—Kiddie Academy
Rich Vogel, Village Attorney, explained that Kiddie Academy has recently been developed but a portion of the sidewalk and retaining wall on the site is located within the Village's existing public utility easement where a sewer main is located. This license agreement gives the right to the Village to move these improvements as needed to do any work on its utilities, with replacement/restoration being at the cost of the licensee.

6. MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Noak shared condolences to Trustee Chavez and his family on the passing of his dad. Congratulations to all the graduates of every level.
Mayor discussed the QuikTrip ribbon cutting, Naperville's State of the City event, and the Memorial Day ceremony in town. Good luck to the VVEEF on their upcoming golf outing. The Underground (youth center in HighPoint) will have their ribbon cutting next week and the ground breaking for Monarch Grove is the week after that. Mercedes is up for an award tomorrow night with the REJournals and a ground breaking was held for the Grand Prairie Water Commission.

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Richards, that the Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
25-3467 Proclamation: Juneteenth
Mayor Noak shared the details of a Juneteenth event at the library.

25-3468 Proclamation: PTSD Awareness Month
A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, that the Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
25-3469 Proclamation: National Children's Day
A motion was made by Trustee Clancy, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, that the Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
7. CLERK'S REPORT
Clerk Holloway extended condolences to Trustee Chavez and his family.
Congratulations to Mark and Kevin on their Hometown Media Award for 2024. The VVEEF golf outing is tomorrow.
8. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
Mrs. Caldwell reminded the public that offices will be closed on June 19th.
The board has a shorten meeting schedule for July and August. Those meetings will be held on July 9th and August 20th. She expressed gratitude to the state legislators for the grant funding the Village received. On behalf of the staff, condolences were shared to Trustee Chavez and his family.

10. BOARD COMMENTS (including Commission, Committee, Liaison Reports)
Trustee Palmiter- The Special Events Commission last met on April 15th and reviewed winter/ spring events. The next meeting is July 15th.
Condolences to Trustee Chavez and his family.
Mayor Noak commented that volunteers are always encouraged to support some of our commissions.
Trustee Griffin- Thank you to everyone who participated in the Memorial Day Service. The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be hosted by the Village on August 21st-24th. Congratulations to our new interns and to Mark and Kevin on their award. Sympathies to the Chavez family.
Trustee Clancy- Shared details on upcoming Recreation events.
Congratulations to all the new interns. Enjoy the summer. Condolences to Joe on the passing of his father.
Trustee Richards- The Planning and Zoning commission meeting for June 10th is canceled. Welcome to our interns. Condolences to Joe Chavez family.
