Karen Alma Friddle, aged 79, a lifelong resident of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away on June 15, 2025, at the Arc of Dwight. Known for her years of service as a bartender at establishments like Tuffy’s and Snookers, Karen was sharp, funny, and well-liked by customers. She was also a devoted single mother to five children, raising them with humor and determination. Karen adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An avid supporter of the Wilmington Wildcats, she enjoyed local sports, NASCAR, and was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan. Karen had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held on June 21, 2025, at Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington. Memorial gifts may be made to the Kuzma Care Cottage in Wilmington. Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services and arrangements are under the care of Reeves, Fruland, and Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory.
