Aurora Villabona Amargo | Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Homer Glen

Aurora Villabona Amargo, 88, of Homer Glen, born in Mauban, Quezon, Philippines, was the loving mother of Raymond, Jessica, Evangeline, and Geraldine. She was the devoted grandmother of Raydell, Claudia, Marvin, and Kathryn Grace, and the devoted sister of Annette Ventocilla. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 22, starting at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Service at 6:00 p.m. at Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Homer Glen. Interment will be private. Aurora was a Doctor of Optometry from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines and the owner of Red Egg Inc., in Chicago. She migrated to the United States at the age of 53 to provide better opportunities for her children, a decision she considered her proudest achievement. Aurora was described as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, caring sister, generous aunt, and loyal friend. She enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, zip-lining, fishing, cooking, gardening, watching sports, and following her favorite shows. Aurora had a kind heart, remaining adventurous and open to new experiences. In her final days, she imparted valuable lessons on love, gratitude, and appreciation for life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and friendship.
