The City of Joliet Committee on Citizens with Disabilities is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Joliet City Hall, located at 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois.

Citizens who are unable to attend have the option to email their comments in advance to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

The agenda includes a roll call and approval of minutes from May 2025. There will be a segment for citizens to speak on agenda items. Each speaker is allowed up to four minutes. It is noted that this period is not intended for questions and answers, and committee members typically do not respond during this time. The City Clerk holds a copy of the public speaking procedures. Any speaker disrupting the meeting may be called to order by the Presiding Officer and could lose their opportunity to speak.

Topics under discussion include updates on the July Disability Fair, inclusion within the committee focusing on Spanish-speaking community engagement at local churches, and discussions regarding a committee brochure.

A public comment section allows individuals to address non-agenda items with similar speaking restrictions as mentioned earlier.

The meeting venue is accessible. Those requiring reasonable accommodations are advised to contact The City Clerk Office at 150 West Jefferson Street or call (815) 724-3780.
