City of Crest Hill City Council met May 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The May 6, 2025, City Council special work session was called to order by Mayor Raymond R. Soliman at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 20600 City Center Blvd. Crest Hill, Will County, Illinois. 

The following Council members were present: Mayor Raymond Soliman, City Clerk Christine Vershay-Hall, City Treasurer Jamie Malloy, Alderman Scott Dyke, Alderman Angelo Deserio, Alderman Darrell Jefferson, Alderwoman Claudia Gazal, Alderperson Tina Oberlin, Alderman Mark Cipiti, Alderman Nate Albert, Alderman Joe Kubal. 

Also Present were: Interim Administrator Tony Graff, Ryan Cotton- Zoom (MGT Impact Solutions). 

Absent were: Police Chief Ed Clark, Finance Director Glenn Gehrke, City Engineer Ron Wiedeman, City Attorney Mike Stiff, Building Commissioner Don Seeman, Community & Economic Development Director Patrick Ainsworth, Interim Employee Relations Dave Strahl, Interim Public Works Director Julius Hansen. 

PUBLIC COMMENTS: 

There were no public comments. 

TOPIC: EXECUTIVE SESSION 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1) 

(#1) Motion by Alderperson Oberlin seconded by Alderwoman Gazal, to go into an executive session on Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). 

On roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: Ald. Dyke, Deserio, Jefferson, Gazal, Oberlin, Cipiti, Albert, Kubal. 

NAYES: None. 

ABSENT: None. 

There being eight (8) affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED. 

Executive Session 6:32 p.m. 

(#2) Motion by Alderperson Oberlin seconded by Alderman Cipiti, to reconvene from the executive session on Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). 

On roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: Ald. Deserio, Jefferson, Gazal, Oberlin, Cipiti, Albert, Kubal, Dyke. 

NAYES: None. 

ABSENT: None. 

There being eight (8) affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED. 

Reconvened 10:10p.m. 

The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 pm.
