An active member of the Grand Haven Theatre Club for two decades, Allan found joy in performing, particularly in his favorite vocal piece, "Mister Cellophane" from the musical Chicago. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Math Education from Valparaiso University and later completed his Master's degree in Educational Administration at Northern Illinois University.
Aside from his passion for education and theater, Allan was an avid sports fan who enjoyed baseball, bowling, and golf. He dedicated his time to coaching little league teams and varsity tennis at Lockport Township High School. He found great joy in following the Chicago Cubs and Bears, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
Allan is survived by his sister, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and his beloved feline companion, Wrigley. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Visitation for Allan will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Anderson Memorial Home in Plainfield, IL, with the funeral service to follow on Monday, June 9, at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church in Lockport. Services will conclude at the church, with a private interment at Bethania Cemetery in Justice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lockport Township High School Foundation are appreciated.
