Gary R. Zielinski, age 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at his residence in the Carillon Lakes Community of Crest Hill, formerly of New Lenox and Lyons. Known for his remarkable ability to brighten others' lives and his unwavering support, Gary was deeply loved by his family and friends. He was adored as an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather.

Gary cherished spending time with his family both in Illinois and Michigan, where he enjoyed golfing, fishing, games, and his favorite pastime of being a devoted Cubs fan. A prominent member of the Polka Community, Gary shared his love for music through his own show on the Polka Jammer with his wife. He is survived by his loving wife Valerie, mother Suellen Gomulka, children Ryan Jennings, Andrea Allenson, and Rachel MacQueen, siblings, and grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Home in Plainfield, IL, with the funeral service on June 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home, with cremation rites to be accorded. Gary's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, as a beacon of love, warmth, and positivity.
