Alex Hughes, former Joliet West High School softball player will compete with her collegiate team for the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

Former Joliet West High School standout and current Bridgeport Purple Knights player, Alex Hughes will compete in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

They begin the tournament as a number six seed against the third seeded Goldey-Beacom Lightning.

The first game is on Thursday, May 8 at 1:30 p.m.
