Mitchell Moore, aged 77, of Mokena, Illinois, passed away on May 22, 2025. A U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran, he dedicated 23 years of service as a Chicago Police Officer, displaying a strong sense of patriotism. An avid car enthusiast, he enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and treasured spending time with his family, especially his grand-dogs. Moore is survived by his former wife Carmen Moore, children Melissa, Brian, Mitchell, Richard, James, William, and Frank, grandson Mitchell, and other relatives. Visitation and Chapel Service will be held on May 29, 2025, at Vandenberg Funeral Home, with interment and military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
