MAYOR BEN DIETZ CALLED TO ORDER THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE WILMINGTON CITY COUNCIL AT 7:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL
After the pledge of allegiance, the following answered to Roll Call: Alderpersons Kevin Kirwin, Dennis Vice, Ryan Jeffries, Jonathan Mietzner, Todd Holmes, and Thomas Smith. Alderperson Ryan Knight was absent. The number present constitutes a quorum.
Also present: Attorney Bryan Wellner, City Administrator Jeannine Smith, Finance Director Nancy Gross, Public Works Director James Gretencord, and Deputy City Clerk Joie Ziller.

MAYOR’S REPORT
Mayor Dietz spoke of the Will County RT 66 Centennial Summit being held at the Joliet Area Historical Museum on April 10th.
Mayor Dietz requested that anyone with recommendations to fill the vacated Third Ward Alperson seat contact him.
CONSENT AGENDA

Alderperson Kirwin made a motion and Alderperson Vice seconded to approve the Consent Agenda for the April 2, 2025, City Council meeting

ORDER OF BUSINESS
Alderperson Jeffries made a motion and Alderperson Mietzner seconded to approve Ordinance No. 25-04-02- 01, An Ordinance Approving a Master Tax-Exempt Lease/Purchase Agreement and Related Agreements with U.S. Bancorp Government Leasing and Finance, Inc. Regarding Public Work Equipment, as amended by the City Attorney

Alderperson Jeffries made a motion and Alderperson Holmes seconded to approve Resolution 2025-01, A Resolution of the City of Wilmington Objecting to the Issuance of the Special Use Permit to Allow a Solar Facility on Property Situated in Close Proximity to the Corporate Limits of the City

Alderperson Mietzner made a motion and Alderperson Vice seconded to approve the Daily Permit Liquor License Application for the Wilmington Park District Beer Garden for the Let Freedom Rock event on June 27, 2025, and grant the request to waive the $50 permit fee
