Kristine Matkovich Stanton, aged 61, of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2025, at her home. She was known for her warmth, creativity, and dedication, especially during her time as a McCafe Specialist at McDonald’s. Kris had a strong spirit, a love for gardening, and a talent for baking.

She is survived by her parents, son Andy Stanton, grandson Wyatt Rampa Stanton, sister Kathleen Lynn Volling, brother Michael J. Matkovich, and former husband Randy Stanton. Kris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial visitation will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington on Friday, April 25, 2025, with a private family service to follow. Preferred memorials can be made in Kris' memory to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
