María Salgado, age 66, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully in her home on April 15, 2025, after battling cancer. Survived by her husband Esteban Salgado, daughters Ana, Karen (Carl), and Ivonne (Juan), and her grandchildren Olivia, Sebastian, Mateo, and Cassandra. Preceded in death by her parents Gonzalo and María Mata, and siblings Gonzalo and Veronica Mata.

Remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, María’s charismatic personality left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of her family.

A Memorial Mass will be held by María’s family on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Manhattan. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. To send flowers or plant a tree in memory of María Salgado, please visit the floral store.
