Kenneth R. Franz | O'Neil Funeral Home And Heritage Crematory - Lockport
Lockport - Kenneth R. Franz, affectionately known as "Beaver", passed away peacefully at the age of 73 after battling leukemia and Alzheimer’s. Franz, a longtime resident of Lockport, was a member of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church and an active member of Lemont Oaks. He graduated from UIC with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology and from the University of Michigan with a master's degree in environmental sciences. Franz owned and operated Em Kare Wound Care Company and had a successful career in medical sales. In retirement, he served as a financial secretary at Shepherd of The Hill Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen, children, grandchildren, siblings, aunt, cousins, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Cremation Rites were carried out as per Franz's wishes. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at O’Neil Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church on Friday, March 28, 2025.
