Donald R. Podlesny | O'Neil Funeral Home And Heritage Crematory - Lockport
Donald R. Podlesny, commonly known as "Pods", passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the age of 87. A proud United States Army Veteran, Podlesny graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1955 and later earned an associate degree from Joliet Junior College. He retired from ComEd in 1992 after 33 years of service and was a member of St. Dennis Church in Lockport. Podlesny enjoyed bowling, golf, coaching sports, and spending quality time with his family. He is survived by his sons Tom and Tim, grandson Trey, girlfriend Jan Ciarlette, brother, and numerous extended family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Dennis Church on Saturday, March 15, 2025, preceded by prayers at O'Neil Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Visitation at the funeral home is scheduled for Friday, March 14, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to a charity in Podlesny's memory.
