Homer Glen, Feb. 22, 2025 – Walter J. Leigh, 88, of Homer Glen, formerly of Oak Lawn, passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta, and loving father of Richard Leigh, Marianne Charnas, and Laura Ferrio. Walter was the devoted grandfather of Eric Leigh, Matthew Alvin, Cody Leigh, Troy Ferrio, and great-grandfather of Caleb, Penelope, Kira, and Leo. He was the son of the late Walton Lee and Violet Spagnola, and brother of Mary Spagnola, Annie Daniele, and the late Rosemary Broderick.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 22, starting at 9:15 a.m. from RICHARD J MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES in Homer Glen to St. Bernard Church, with Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
