Diane "Sammy" A. Kelly, age 81, of Crestwood, IL, passed away on February 4, 2025. Diane was known for her diverse interests and her love for spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She enjoyed watching movies, traveling, reading, shopping, playing Bocce Ball, and learning about history. Diane had a special affinity for the color purple, going out to eat, and enjoying a good glass of wine. She was remembered for her exceptional spelling abilities, great sense of humor, and wise advice, always being a fantastic listener.

She is survived by her loving children Victoria (Stephen) Kane, Sharon (Patrick) Adams, and Michael (Donna) Kelly, and her cherished grandchildren Kristopher (Karina) Kane, Sarah (Jeffrey) Preyss, Luke Tetzloff, Evan Adams, Shane Kelly, and Grace Kelly, along with her cherished great-grandson Jonathan Kane. She was the caring sister of Darlene (John) Buwolda, Edward (Christine) Erickson, and Deborah (Mark) Havens and was preceded in death by Edwin "Allen" Erickson. Diane was the daughter of the late Edwin and Isabelle Erickson and a wonderful godmother of Olivia Marszalek, as well as a kind aunt to several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Diane is pending, with cremation rites entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena, IL. Interment will be private.
