Peotone - Irene Manning, aged 86, passed away on January 4, 2025, at Citadel of Bourbonnais. Born on May 11, 1938, in Chicago, IL, to Tom and Lionel (Tasca) Minervino. Irene was a Fengar High School graduate from Chicago. She tied the knot with Raymond W. Manning on May 3, 1958, at St. Anthony in Chicago, IL, who predeceased her on January 30, 2014.

Irene was a devoted member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone. She initially worked at Teresa Frozen Pizza in Peotone and later at AIG Insurance in Chicago. Ceramics were a passion for Irene, but her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas (Katharine) Manning of Bourbonnais, IL, and John (Rose) Manning of Cape Coral, FL. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jessica (John Paul V) McCaslin, Neil (Megan) Manning, and Joseph Tafoya III, as well as five great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sheri Manning (October 6, 1996), three brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 p.m. with Father Thomas Milota presiding.
