Ronald Edward Kaulen | R W Patterson Funeral Homes & Crematory
Ronald Edward Kaulen, aged 90, of Lake Shannon in Reddick, IL, passed away on November 13, 2024. Born on February 28, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Hubert J. and Hallie Kaulen. Ronald married Francine D. Kaulen on October 29, 1960, who preceded him in death along with their son Edward Ronald Kaulen. A veteran of the United States Army, Ronald was a skilled tradesman with expertise in carpentry, concrete work, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs. He was known for his strong work ethic and love for challenging tasks. A devoted Chicago Bears fan, Ronald enjoyed fishing, golfing, building Balsa model airplanes, playing poker, reading mysteries, and watching old movies. He is survived by his daughters Carolyn Bielecki, Kristine Kirchner, sons Steve Broden, and daughter-in-law Susan Kaulen, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ronald's family will honor his memory at a memorial visitation at R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Cremation rites have been accorded, and inurnment will be private at a later date.
