Veteran and Retiree Gerald D. Bragiel of Frankfort Dies at 85

Gerald D. Bragiel, 85, of Frankfort, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. A United States Marine Corps Veteran, he retired from Western Electric in Cicero.

Survived by wife Loretta Bragiel (Charnot), children Louis (Colleen) Bragiel, Deborah Marek, Gerald Bragiel Jr., seven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will host a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, IL on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service. Interment will be private. Donations to the Make A Wish Foundation are welcomed in lieu of flowers.
