Nick “Desho” Maccione, aged 91, peacefully passed away at his home on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by his adoring daughters. Desho, known for his passion for golf, casino visits, shopping, flowers, and jigsaw puzzles, dedicated his career to stonemasonry with the union. He played a key role in constructing the Rosemont Theater. Desho was a diligent provider for his family.

Left to cherish his memory are daughters Vikkilyn (Richard) Nieciecki, Nicolette Maccione, and Paulette Maccione; beloved granddaughter Leah (Heath) Lewis and grandson Jesse Clock; dear sibling William Amore and sister Anna (Chris) Wilks; fond niece Amanda (Grant); and great-nephew Danny. He is predeceased by his wife Grace (nee Falco) Maccione; parents Anthony and Marie (nee Chinick) Maccione; brother Anthony Maccione; and nephews Michael (Karen) and Nicky Maccione.

A chapel service honoring Desho will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162, on Thursday, October 31, at 11:00 a.m., followed by cremation rites.
