Paul Kenneth Reynolds, 75, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, following a courageous 24-year battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Breese, Illinois, on October 28, 1948, to Patty Edmund, Paul grew up in Keysport, Illinois. After serving in the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany, he pursued a successful career in banking.

Paul graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Business Finance and furthered his education at the University of Illinois Executive Graduate School of Banking. He married Laura Reynolds, his wife of 46 years, during his time at E.I.U. Paul held various leadership roles in the banking sector and served as President and CEO of First Mutual Bankcorp in Decatur, Illinois.

A dedicated family man, Paul is survived by his children: Robert Reynolds, Ken Hammel, Alison Zybak, Erin Bricker, and Paul K Reynolds II. He was a loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren. Paul's passion for flying led him to earn his pilot's license, and he enjoyed spending time on the golf course honing his skills.

Family and friends can pay their respects at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, Illinois, on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Following the visitation, interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson's Center-Barrow Neurological Foundation.
