City of Joliet Communication, Technology & Information Systems Committee met Aug. 7.

ROLL CALL

Present Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, Councilman Cesar Cardenas and Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra

ALSO PRESENT: Christopher Sternal, CIO and Amanda Dite, Deputy Director of IT.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Councilman Cardenas, seconded by Councilwoman Ibarra to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2024 CTIS Meeting.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS

AGENDA ITEMS

Award of Contract to DTS for VUEWorks Asset Management Software Support and Hosting in the amount of $70,000.00

Amanda Dite, Deputy Director of IT, gave an overview of the VUEWorks Asset Management Software Support and Hosting annual renewal.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas to recommend for approval Award of Contract to DTS for VUEWorks Asset Management Software Support and Hosting in the amount of $70,000.00.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

Award of Contract to Lenovo for TruScale Managed Storage Not to Exceed $370,684.21

Christopher Sternal, CIO, discussed the Lenovo TruScale Managed Storage, which is a comprehensive storage solution.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas to recommend for approval Award of Contract to Lenovo for TruScale Managed Storage Not to Exceed $370,684.21.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION

Christopher Sternal, CIO, gave a briefing on the recent Crowdstrike incident.

PUBLIC COMMENT

A motion was made by Councilwoman Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cardenas to adjourn. The motion carried by the following vote:
