City of Wilmington Finance Adiministration & Land Aquisition Committee met May 21.

The Finance, Administration & Land Acquisition Committee meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Alderperson Kirwin.

Public Comment

No public comment was made.

Approve Previous Meeting Minutes

Alderperson Knight made a motion and Alderperson Jeffries seconded to approve the April 16, 2024 meeting minutes as written and have them placed on file.

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 6 Knight, Jeffries, Kirwin, Vice, Smith, Holmes

NAYS: 0

ABSENT: 2 Allred, Mietzner

The motion carried.

Review and Consideration to Approve the Accounting Reports

The committee reviewed the accounts payable report and agreed to approve it at the May 21, 2024, Council meeting. Director Gross also provided the committee with the monthly revenue and budget status summaries.

Consideration and Authorization of the Transfer of Funds from IIIT to PMA The committee discussed and agreed with the Finance Director’s recommendation to transfer the Illinois Funds associated with Water and Sewer and move them to PMA Securities, LLC. This will be moved to May 21, 2024, for approval and execution.

Review and Consideration to Approve the Contracts Related to the 2024 Let Freedom Rock Celebration

Lee’s Rental, Inc., for $545.00

The committee approved this contract and agreed to move it forward to the May 21, 2024 City Council agenda.

Review and Consideration to Approve the Contracts Related to the 2024 Catfish Days Festival

Laser Encore for $6,500.00

Rick Lindy and the Wild Ones Band for $1,200.00

Dinner Bell Productions for $2,000.00

Double D Booking for $3,500.00

Miller’s Petting Zoo for $1,800.00

Crosstown Exotics for $400.00

The Committee reviewed the supporting information as presented in the agenda packet and agreed to place this item on the May 21, 2024, City Council Consent Agenda for full approval

No other pertinent information was discussed.

Adjournment

The motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Alderperson Knight and seconded by Alderperson Smith. Upon voice vote, all yes, and the motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:47 P.M.
