Traffic modifications on Ruby Street Bridge (IL Route 53) will commence on Monday, June 24, 2024, as part of the City’s Bluff Street Sanitary Interceptor Rehabilitation Project. The bridge will be reduced to one lane with two-way traffic managed through flagging operations. Significant delays are anticipated due to these operations.
The work is scheduled to start at 9:00 am and aims to be completed by 2:30 pm, after which normal traffic operations will resume. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes during this period.
