City of Joliet Communication, Technology & Information Systems Committee met May 8.

ROLL CALL

Present: Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, Councilman Cesar Cardenas and Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra

ALSO PRESENT: Christopher Sternal, CIO; Amanda Dite, Enterprise Application Services Manager; Jeffrey D'Aleo, Senior Network Engineer and Blaine Kline, Facilities Management Director.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Councilwoman Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cardenas to approve the minutes of the April 3, 2024 CTIS Meeting.

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS

AGENDA ITEMS

Award of Contract to Sentinel Technologies, Inc for a Three Year Agreement for Always Connected Technical Support (ACTS) in the Amount of $85,424.77

Christopher Sternal, CIO, and Jeffrey D'Aleo, Senior Network Engineer, discussed the renewal of Always Connected Technical Supports (ACTS) through Sentinel Technologies, Inc.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to recommend for approval Award of Contract to Sentinel Technologies, Inc for a Three Year Agreement for Always Connected Technical Support (ACTS).

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement to Great Pyrenees Technology, LLC for Database Administration and GIS Support in the Amount of $17,250.00

Christopher Sternal, CIO, gave an overview of Database Administration and GIS Support agreement with Great Pyrenees Technology, LLC.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to recommend for approval Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement to Great Pyrenees Technology, LLC for Database Administration and GIS Support.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

Award of Contract to Heartland Business Systems for Document Scanning in the amount of $100,000.00

Christopher Sternal,CIO, gave a review of the Document Scanning project with Heartland Business Systems.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to recommend for approval Award of Contract to Heartland Business Systems for Document Scanning.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

Approve the professional services, purchase, and installation of security cameras for Duly Health & Care Field to AMS Industries Inc. in the amount of $83,270.00

Blaine Kline, Facilities Management Director, Jeffrey D'Aleo, Senior Network Engineer and Christopher Sternal, CIO, all gave insight on the purchase and installation of security cameras for Duly Health & Care Field.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to recommend for approval Award of Contract to AMS Industries, Inc. for the purchase and installation of security cameras for Duly Health & Care Field.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION

Councilwoman Reardon requested an update on the City Council Chambers Upgrade Project to which Christopher Sternal, CIO, discussed at length.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cardenas to adjourn.
