The City of Joliet Public Utilities Department has initiated construction on the Burr Oaks Water Main project. As part of the subsequent phase of construction, traffic control and safety measures will be implemented from Monday, May 20, 2024. This will result in a reduction of traffic to a single lane in each direction on Essington Road from Big Timber Drive to Rosemont Drive for an estimated duration of four weeks.

The department appreciates public patience during this period and urges motorists to drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone.
