City of Joliet City Council met Sept. 27.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

ROLL CALL:

Present: Mayor Terry D'Arcy, Councilman Cesar Cardenas, Councilman Joe Clement, Councilman Cesar Guerrero, Councilman Larry E. Hug, Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, Councilman Pat Mudron, Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon

ALSO PRESENT: Interim City Manager Rod Tonelli and Deputy Corporation Counsel Chris Regis.

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS:

None.

AGENDA ITEM:

Ordinances Associated with the Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2.

Ordinance Approving the Preliminary Plat of Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2. (P-7-23)

Ordinance Approving the Final Plat of Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2. (FP-8-23)

Ordinance Approving the Recording Plat of Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2. (RP-12-23)

The City Manager gave a brief update on the changes to the previous proposal.

A truck turnaround area has been added to the plat for consideration.

Dan Uebelhor with Cabot Properties spoke regarding the new proposal.

The Mayor and Council thanked Cabot Properties for their willingness to work with them and the community.

Mayor briefly discussed the possibility of camera systems to photo enforce roads. Councilman Hug asked Chief Evans to investigate mobile cameras.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by

Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to approve COUNCIL MEMO #484-23: Ordinances Associated with the Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2.

Ordinance Approving the Preliminary Plat of Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2. (P-7-23)

Ordinance Approving the Final Plat of Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2. (FP-8-23)

Ordinance Approving the Recording Plat of Resubdivision of Lot 3 in Laraway Distribution Center Unit 2. (RP-12-23). The motion carried by the following vote:

Sarah Broadnax spoke regarding truck traffic concerns on the east side.

Julia Alexander spoke regarding truck traffic concerns on Rowell Avenue. A brief discussion was held regarding truck traffic enforcement.

Kathy Garthus spoke regarding truck traffic concerns.

ADJOURNMENT:

A motion was made by Councilman Larry E. Hug, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to adjourn.

The motion carried by the following vote:
