City of Joliet Communication, Technology & Information Systems Committee met Sept. 26.

ROLL CALL

Present Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, Councilman Cesar Cardenas and Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra

ALSO PRESENT: Christopher Sternal, CIO; Amanda Dite, Enterprise Application Services Manager and Melissa Cowger, IT Office Manager.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to approve the minutes of the July 26, 2023 CTIS Committe Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

AGENDA ITEMS

Award of Contract to DTS for VueWorks Asset Management Software Support and Hosting in the Amount of $70,000

Amanda Dite, Enterprise Application Services Manager gave an overview of DTS - VueWorks Asset Management Software.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to recommend for approval Award of Contract to DTS for VueWorks Asset Management Software Support and Hosting in the Amount of $70,000. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

Award of Contract to Granicus for Meeting Efficiency Suite in the Amount of $72,784.17

Amanda Daite, Enterprise Application Services Manager discussed the Granicus Meeting Efficiency Suite.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to table Award of Contract to Granicus for Meeting Efficiency Suite in the Amount of $72,784.17. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

Award of a Three-Year Contract to CDW for Microsoft Enterprise Licensing in the Amount of $1,165,668.39.

Christopher Sternal, CIO spoke in depth regarding the City's Microsoft Enterprise Licensing renewal.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to recommend for approval Award of a Three-Year Contract to CDW for Microsoft Enterprise Licensing in the Amount of $1,165,668.39.. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilwoman Reardon, Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Ibarra

NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION

Laserfiche Update

Amanda Dite, Enterprise Application Service Manager gave an update on the Laserfiche document management project.

Cybersecurity Update

Melissa Cowger, IT Office Manager, discussed the City's current cybersecurity training initiatives.

Downtown Fiber

Christopher Sternal, CIO discussed the potential for the City's intergovernmental with the County for fiber downtown.

Tyler PACE Training

Amanda Dite, Enterprise Application Services Manager discussed upcoming Tyler PACE Training which will include Purchasing, ExecuTime and Year End Payroll Process.

Motorola Risk Assessment

Christopher Sternal, CIO gave an overview of the risk assessment that will be provided to the City by Motorola in November.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to adjourn.
