Q4 2022 Recap: 2 parolees from Will County convicted of homicide set for release

There were two offenders convicted of homicide living in Will County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Will County Gazette.

The data shows both of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for homicide was 46. The younger parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced in 1983.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was David L. Faysom. He was convicted in 1983 when he was 22 years old. He is now 62.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
