There were 11 offenders convicted of crimes involving weapons living in Will County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Will County Gazette.

The data shows 10 men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes involving weapons was 34. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2022, and the oldest was a 47-year-old man sentenced in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Lonnie Pinnick. He was convicted in 2017 when he was 26 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
