Q3 2021 Recap: 15 parolees from Will County convicted of crimes against persons set for release

There were 15 offenders convicted of crimes against persons living in Will County released on parole during the third quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Will County Gazette.

The data shows all of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 30. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced in 2021.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Marlon Crosby. He was convicted in 2019 when he was 26 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of crimes against persons were paroled during the third quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
