There were 13 offenders living in Kendall County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Will County Gazette.

The data shows 11 men and two women were released in Kendall County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 33. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2022, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2015.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Amwoza J. Eric. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2014 when he was 30 years old. He is now 39.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
