Will County Gazette

There were 90 offenders living in Will County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Will County Gazette.

The data shows 86 men and four women were released in Will County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2021, and the oldest was a 70-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2022.

The offender incarcerated the longest was David L. Faysom. He was convicted of homicide in 1983 when he was 22 years old. He is now 62.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
