11th Congressional District candidate Catalina Lauf is calling out the presence of Joe Biden and Democrats for allowing the country to regress.
“Democrats have sent billions of dollars to foreign countries while ignoring crises at home,” Lauf said in an email. “Inflation is at a 40-year high. Families can’t find baby formula. Gas prices are through the roof. Store shelves are empty of basic necessities. America’s energy independence is gone. Everything this administration does has a common theme: America Last.”
According to Lauf, what matters to the people seemed to have been ignored.
“Roughly 90% of Americans have concerns about inflation and rising prices. But Democrats clearly don’t care about our concerns. All they care about is wasting taxpayer dollars on projects that enrich themselves and their friends or shipping it off to some foreign country.”
She promises to fight for what matters to the American people when seated.
“But if you support my campaign, I will stop their reckless spending. In Congress, I’ll take on Nancy Pelosi and halt Biden’s radical spending agenda and undo the damage that’s been done. Donate to Take Back Congress >> It’s time to fight for our economy and get America back on track. I am not afraid to take this issue head-on. Will you join me? We can stop the Democrats in 2022. All we have to do is take back Congress. Flipping this district is the FIRST STEP towards that goal.”
Under President Donald Trump, Lauf worked as an advisor at the US Department of Commerce. Mark Carroll, Jerry Evans, Susan Hathaway-Altman, Andrea Heeg, Juan Ramos, and Tanner Miller are among the competitors.
Lauf has expressed confidence that Republicans will win the district in 2018. The National Republican Congressional Committee has targeted the contest as a possible flip.
The new 11th congressional district includes the cities of Aurora, Naperville, Woodridge, Darien, Bolingbrook, Burr Ridge, New Lenox and Joilet. It includes parts of DuPage, Will and Cook counties.
