On Tuesday, May 24, Plainfield Township Republican Organization voted to make endorsements in five separate races for this year's primary election cycle.
The endorsed candidates are:
1) James Marter US Congressional District 14
2) Gary Rabine Illinois Governor
3) David Shestokas Illinois Attorney General
4) James Lawson Jr. Illinois Senate District 49
5) Donald DeWilkins Will County Circuit Court Judge
This is the first time in over a decade that the Township Organization has made primary endorsements. PTRO Chairman Dale Fontana says that endorsements of this kind are very important in identifying Republicans who will aggressively promote conservative principles and stand up for the people of the area. Such endorsements also serve to educate the broader Republican electorate at large.
