Mark Carroll for Congress has issued the following press release:

In a recent report by Wirepoint.com, "Violent Crime rose nearly 40 percent in Aurora (part of IL - 11) from 2019 through 2021; driven by aggravated assaults." Mark Carroll For Congress has released the following statement regarding the perceived weakness of our law enforcement units:

"If you want to look at causality, maybe we should investigate any possible trends on weak enforcement by the Cook County States Attorney and weak judges, pushing criminal opportunists to the suburbs," said Carroll.

"Based on these numbers, it is more important than ever that we appropriately fund law enforcement agencies to counter these trends. With sufficient resources for manpower, equipment, and technology we would most definitely be giving our policing agencies their best chance of succeeding in these vital positions."

"In addition and on the same level of importance, we need to stop demonizing our officers. Rather, we should praise them for putting their lives on the line to serve and protect us every time they put on their uniform!"

Carroll concludes, "We need to elect states attorneys, judges and other officials that understand the importance of upholding and enforcing our laws."

Mark Joseph Carroll is endorsed by several townships, organizations, and individuals throughout Illinois Illinois’ 11th Congressional District which encompasses portions of Lake, McHenry, Boone, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook and Will counties.
