With out-of-control gas prices and a broken supply chain, Governor Pritzker owes it to the hard-working people of Illinois to provide relief at the pump. With gas prices now reaching an average of $4.43 in the Chicagoland area, good people are being forced to choose between buying groceries or paying for gas to go to work.

Since Gov. Pritzker took office, we have seen the gas tax more than double from 31 cents to 63 cents.

Unfortunately, under current Democratic leadership, “the working class” in Illinois is being forced to suffer the nation’s 2nd highest gas taxes, in addition to an automatic motor fuel tax that is automatically adjusted to increase each year based on the highest inflation rates we’ve seen in decades.

How come its always we the working class that have to tighten our belts, while the wealthy get wealthier, and we get beat down with never ending tax increases, coupled with souring inflation. This is the definition of failed leadership, and we deserve better for not only ourselves, but more importantly for our children.

Illinois is one of only four states left in the Nation with this unnecessary gas sales tax and with your support, when I am elected, we will remove Illinois from that list.

The people of Illinois demand change and will get it in November at the ballot box.
