Lockport, Crete-Monee, Lincoln Way East, Neuqua Valley, Joliet Catholic, Wilmington, Reed-Custer reach IHSA football quarterfinals

Of the 64 teams advancing to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) quarterfinals next weekend, seven are from Will County.

In 8A, which includes schools with the largest enrollments in the state, Frankfort's Lincoln-Way East (9-2) plays at top-seeded Loyola Academy of north suburban Wilmette, Lockport Township (10-1) plays at Glenbard North (8-3) in Carol Stream and Naperville's Neuqua Valley (10-1) hosts Maine South (10-1) of Park Ridge.

In 6A, Crete-Monee (8-3) travels to Washington H.S. (9-2), in Tazewell County outside Peoria.

In 4A, top-seeded Joliet Catholic Academy hosts Genoa-Kingston (10-1) of McHenry County.

In 3A, Braidwood's Reed-Custer (10-1) travels to Byron H.S (11-0), outside Rockford.

In 2A, top-seeded Wilmington (11-0) hosts Bishop McNamara (7-4) of Kankakee.
