City of Joliet Plan Commission Met March 18.

CALL TO ORDER

ROLL CALL

Present John Dillon, John Kella, Jason Cox, Fredrick "Rick" Moore, Marc Rousonelos and Roberto Perez

Absent Jeff Crompton and Brigette Roehr

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by John Kella, seconded by Fredrick "Rick" Moore, to approve Minutes from the February 18, 2021 Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Dillon, Kella, Cox, Moore, Rousonelos and Perez

Absent: Crompton and Roehr

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS

None.

Z-1-21: RECLASSIFICATION OF 2800 SCHWEITZER ROAD FROM I-TC (INTERMODAL TERMINAL-INDUSTRIAL PARK) TO I-TB (INTERMODAL TERMINAL-TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT) ZONING.

Mr. Torri gave the Planning Staff Report.

Mr. Chris Spesia, Attorney, appeared on behalf of the petition.

Commissioner Moore inquired about the disposal of oil from the trucks.

No one appeared in opposition to the petition.

A motion was made by Jason Cox, seconded by John Kella, to recommend for approval by the full City Council the Reclassification of 2800 Schweitzer Road from I-TC (Intermodal Terminal-Industrial Park) to I-TB (Intermodal Terminal-Transportation Equipment) Zoning. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Dillon, Kella, Cox, Moore, Rousonelos and Perez

Absent: Crompton and Roehr

FP-1-21: FINAL PLAT OF CLARIUS PARK JOLIET SUBDIVISION, PHASE 3. Mr. Torri gave the Planning Staff Report.

Mr. Taivo Tammaru, Clarius Park, appeared on behalf of the petition.

No one appeared in opposition to the petition.

A motion was made by John Kella, seconded by Fredrick "Rick" Moore, to recommend for approval by the full City Council the Final Plat of Clarius Park Joliet Subdivision, Phase 3. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Dillon, Kella, Cox, Moore, Rousonelos and Perez

Absent: Crompton and Roehr

A-1-21: ANNEXATION OF 13.6 ACRES LOCATED AT 2700 MOUND ROAD, CLASSIFICATION TO I-2 (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) ZONING AND APPROVAL OF AN ANNEXATION AGREEMENT.

Mr. Torri gave the Planning Staff Report.

Mr. John Rambo, Attorney, appeared on behalf of the petition.

No one appeared in opposition to the petition.

A motion was made by Fredrick "Rick" Moore, seconded by John Kella, to recommend for approval by the full City Council the Annexation of 13.6 Acres located at 2700 Mound Road, Classification to I-2 (General Industrial) Zoning and Approval of an Annexation Agreement. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Dillon, Kella, Moore, Rousonelos and Perez

Absent: Crompton and Roehr

Abstain: Cox

V-1-21: VACATION OF A 13' X 253' PEDESTRIAN EASEMENT LOCATED AT CHICAGO STREET, NORTH OF WASHINGTON STREET.

Mr. Torri gave the Planning Staff Report.

The City of Joliet appeared on behalf of the petition.

No one appeared in opposition to the petition.

A motion was made by John Kella, seconded by Fredrick "Rick" Moore, to recommend for approval by the full City Council the Vacation of a 13' x 253' Pedestrian Easement located at Chicago Street, North of Washington Street. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Dillon, Kella, Cox, Moore, Rousonelos and Perez

Absent: Crompton and Roehr

NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION

None.

Chairman Dillon requested a hard copy of Plan Commission packet because every couple of months his iPad does not work. Mr. Torri responded.
