City of Wilmington issued the following announcement on May. 12.
The City of Wilmington is seeking qualified applicants for the filling of two (2) full-time Public Works Street Crew positions. These positions perform all work related to public works. The position requires skill in the following areas: operating power equipment, operating mowing equipment, and hand tools, working on streets, paths, walks, parks and buildings, and janitorial cleaning, with a focus on customer service, oral communication and attention to detail. Work schedule is 40 hours/week with occasional overtime
Applicants must be 18 or older to apply and have a valid CDL Illinois Driver’s License or ability to obtain a CDL License within six (6) months of the hire date. Pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug analysis will be required. Salary is determined by the labor contract and includes an excellent benefits package.
