Analysis: Bolingbrook pays $4.51 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bolingbrook Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.1 percent of the $6,602,229 the Bolingbrook Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.51 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bolingbrook contributed $5,419,514 to the fund, which saw a $77,293 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $1,199,674, or 18.2 percent, in 2018.
