Analysis: Lockport pays $4.56 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lockport Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82 percent of the $1,874,990 the Lockport Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.56 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lockport contributed $1,538,000 to the fund, which saw a $48,844 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $336,990, or 18 percent, in 2018.
