Analysis: Plainfield pays $2.59 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Plainfield Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.9 percent of the $1,898,558 the Plainfield Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.59 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Plainfield contributed $1,364,479 to the fund, which saw a $277,641 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $524,835, or 27.6 percent, in 2018. Another $9,244 came from other unspecified sources.
