Analysis: Romeoville pays $2.91 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Romeoville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.2 percent of the $2,502,402 the Romeoville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.91 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Romeoville contributed $1,856,992 to the fund, which saw a $88,116 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $636,153, or 25.4 percent, in 2018. Another $9,257 came from other unspecified sources.
