Analysis: University Park pays $4.66 for every $1 pensioners contribute to University Park Policemen's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.4 percent of the $654,200 the University Park Policemen's Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.66 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, University Park contributed $538,814 to the fund, which saw a $45,622 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $115,386, or 17.6 percent, in 2018.
