Village of Romeoville Board of Trustees met Feb. 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER-Roll Call

Present 7 - Trustee Jose Chavez, Trustee Dave Richards, Trustee Brian A. Clancy Sr., Mayor John Noak, Trustee Lourdes Aguirre, Trustee Linda Palmiter, and Trustee Ken Griffin

2. POSTING OF COLORS-PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

20-2716 Recognition of Romeoville High School Dance and Cheerleading Teams

The Village recognized the Romeoville High School Cheerleading and Dance Teams for their successful seasons.

ORD20-1625 An Ordinance Approving the Annexation of Territory for the Lafarge Parcel

Mr Potter reported that the Village recently purchased a parcel of land on the north side of Renwick Rd. for the Pinnacle Drive extension. The parcel is currently unincorporated. Upon annexation the parcel will automatically be zoned E-R, Estate Residential. The remainder of the property that is not used for roadway purposes can be rezoned at a later date if required by a developer.

RES20-2862 A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement with the First Responders Wellness Center

Chief Turvey reported that this authorized the execution of an agreement with First Responders Wellness Center to provide therapeutic wellness checks to members of the Police Department on a confidential basis, including but not limited to suggestions for dealing with specific needs or traumas and suggestions for overall mental wellness.

Trustee Palmiter stated that this is an excellent idea. She asked if we are looking to do this for the firefighters too. Mr Gulden stated that Chief Adams is looking for a more firefighter centric program.

Trustee Chavez asked if this is onsite and Chief Turvey stated no, they go there.

4. ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made by Trustee Palmiter, seconded by Trustee Griffin, that this Meeting be Adjourned at 6:13 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: 6 - Trustee Chavez, Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, Trustee Aguirre, Trustee Palmiter, and Trustee Griffin

Non-voting: Mayor Noak 1 -
