5. MAYOR'S REPORT

Condolences to the family of Jeff Worm. It was great to see our community come together for Harvest Saturday. I attended Irene King’s Community Food Pantry ribbon cutting on November 21st. Congratulations to all the DARE Graduates. Join us for the tree lighting ceremony and Winter Wonderland on Friday beginning at 6:00 at the Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center Lou’s Styling will be holding a 30-year anniversary celebration on December 10th at 5:00. HPSAC Ladies Auxiliary will be holding a Christmas Raffle and Fundraiser on December 13th at Lost Acres. There will be information in the water bills pertaining to advanced ticket sales for Ribfest for our residents. There will be a code for use for the main stage admission only. The limit for tickets allowed is 8.

PH19-2314 A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the Village of Romeoville for 2019

Elizabeth Pahlke- She asked what it means that we are paying bonds. Mayor Noak stated that we are not paying bonds, we are abating them. She than asked Mayor Noak to explain what that means, which he did. He told her that we would be more than happy to go into greater detail at a later time. She was addressing other issues as well and Mayor Noak stated that these issues are not pertinent to the public hearing.

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Clancy, to open the public hearing. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: 6 - Trustee Chavez, Trustee Palmiter, Trustee Griffin, Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, and Trustee Aguirre

Mayor Noak A motion was made by Trustee Palmiter, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, to close the public hearing. The motion carried by the following vote:

ORD19-1616 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 112 (Alcoholic Beverages) of the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Richards, that this Ordinance be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

6. CLERK'S REPORT

Congratulations to the Citizens Police Academy graduates.

The Community Service Council and the Vallley View Enrichment Foundation have not met since our last meeting.

7. CITIZEN'S, COMMITTEES, COMMISSIONS AND LIAISON REPORTS

Trustee Aguirre-Police and Fire/Uptown Development The next meeting for Police and Fire is December 10th. They are currently doing oral testing for firefighters.

Trustee Richards-Planning and Zoning/Zoning Board of Appeals/REMA The next Planning and Zoning meeting will be December 10th. A Concept Plan for a development south of Farm and Fleet as well as a couple other items are on the agenda.

Trustee Clancy-Beautification/Parks and Recreation Beautification will be out within the next two weeks for the Holiday Decoration Contest.

A Recreation update was given.

Trustee Griffin-Veteran's Commission/EDC EDC will be meeting tomorrow to discuss the restructure of the Commission.

The Veterans Commission will be meeting on January 21st. The Commission will be awarding scholarships again this year.

Trustee Palmiter-Finance/Special Events/Humane Society Finance will be meeting next wednesday.

The next Special Events Commission meeting will be January 21st.

Please think about rescuing a dog as opposed to purchasing one this year.

Trustee Chavez-Youth Outreach/Vor-Tv No reports.

8. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT

Condolences to the family of Jeff Worm. He was a long time employee of the Village and a life long resident. Please keep his family in your thoughts.

9. NEW BUSINESS

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, to do a consent agenda for all New Business excluding ORD19-1597 which was tabled until December 18, 2019. The motion carried by the following vote:

ORD19-1607 An Ordinance establishing maximum tax rates for the Village of Romeoville and authorizing the Village Manager and Finance Director to make the appropriate adjustments and abatements to the 2019 tax levy for the Village of Romeoville, Will County, Illinois

RES19-2820 A Resolution Authorizing the credit of $5.00 on the January 2020 residential water and sewer bills of Village of Romeoville Residents

10. BOARD COMMENTS

Trustee Chavez- Condolences to the Worm family. It is a sad loss. Many thanks to all who helped out on Harvest Saturday. Congratulations to the Police Academy Graduates. Veterans Banners are still available. Contact the Village Hall for more information. The deadline is January 1, 2020. We are going to continue the Romeoville Reinvestment Program. Take advantage of this great program. Great to see the decorative streetlight contract on tonight's agenda. There is an important document in your water bill regarding Ribfest. Make sure you check your bill.

Trustee Palmiter- Condolences to the family of Jeff Worm. Thanks to Ed and Jean for thier years of service to CPAAR. Congratulations to the Police Academy graduates. Congratulations to Commander Burne. Harvest Saturday is an awesome production. Congratulations to all the DARE graduates. Congratulations to Irene King on the food pantry. This is a great thing.

Trustee Griffin- Condolences to the Worm family. Congratulations to Romeoville for your generosity to your fellow residents.

Trustee Clancy- Condolences to the Worm family. Thanks for all who helped with Harvest Saturday and the residents for donating. Congratulations to the Police Academy graduates. Don't forget to put your lights on for the decorating contest.

Trustee Richards- Condolences to the Worm family. Congratulations to the Police Academy graduates. Harvest Saturday was amazing. The Hampton Park Social Athletic Club Ladies Auxiliary raffle will be Friday, December 13th at 5:00 p.m. at Lost Acres.

Trustee Aguirre- Condolences to the Worm family. Thanks to the Police Department for offering the Police Academy. Thanks to Ed and Jean for their work with CPAAR. Congratulations to the DARE graduates. Congratulations to Commander Burne.
