Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in University Park?

There were five offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in University Park zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Will County Gazette.

The data shows that four men and one woman were released in University Park. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 32-year-old man sentenced in 2014 and the oldest was a 51-year-old woman sentenced in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Steven Jones. He was convicted in 2014 when he was 26 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the second quarter.
